It’s so sad and she just seems so cute, I just want to hug her! Demon or not! And then there’s Ace. Being an imp she’s a bit of a trickster so she’s gotten mostly everyone mad at her at one time or another but it’s to a point where Deidre has no friends. Emma and Conor are intriguing enough on their own but I absolutely loved Deidra and the Drex!ĭeidra is an imp that clings to Emma’s kindness. Ryals doesn’t give much about her characters but the bit she gives makes you want more. I was really curious about Emma from the start and you are given more and more reasons to be curious about her. The characters are really interesting as well. There are gargoyles and there are also demons so this short read was also perfect for October. I read this during Dewey’s 24 hour Read a Thon and it was so nice to have something that was easy, a bit romantic and very different. Or should be! So, I picked this up without any preconceptions or idea of what to expect. I love the idea of gargoyles being real, they’re like vampires, cool, sexy, distant. The synopsis is intriguing and gets you wondering so I thought, why not. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book. Warning: Due to language, this book is suggested for Young Adults 16+ And I am not prepared for what I find at The Acropolis. Now I have a new mission, a new mark to protect. At eighteen, I am a gargoyle who has been demoted because I broke the rules. Release Date: published March 28th 2012.
